Frieze Masters London 2018
At Frieze Masters W&K focuses on body depictions from Viennese Modernism to contemporary positions. As early as 1900, social conventions were challenged and what is fundamental to life, such as eroticism, birth or death, were addressed in the artistic works of the main protagonists Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka. Exhibitions such as "Body, Psyche and Taboo" at mumok Vienna or at Galerie Kicken in Berlin with "About the Body" have already taken up the context of early Viennese Modernism and Viennese Actionism. W&K develops this concept further and presents the contemporary context with positions by artists such as Elke Silvia Krystufek.

130 leading galleries from antiquity to modernism and 20th century art are exhibiting at this year's Frieze Masters. The programme covers several years of art history - always in a contemporary context.
