New York City is one of the world's most buoyant art markets and provides the ideal context for a TEFAF (The European Fine Art Fair) outside Maastricht. Between May 4 and May 8, the second edition of TEFAF New York Spring presents modern and contemporary art in one of Manhattans prime locations, the historic Park Avenue Armory. We are very pleased to participate also in 2018.

At TEFAF New York Spring 2018 we will focus on Viennese Modernism as two of its most important protagonists died 100 years ago: Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. Drawings by such masters as Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Alfred Kubin and Oskar Kokoschka will be shown in New York. The long term impact of Early Viennese Modernism on Austrian art and society can’t be overestimated. Especially the Viennese Aktionismus was strongly influenced by the artists of the Fin de Siècle. Their pioneering achievements were not only the intensive study of the human body but also the various dimensions of the physical and psychological experience.

In addition German Expressionists like Ernst Ludwig Kirchner or Erich Heckel, international artists of classical modernism such as Pablo Picasso or Lyonel Feininger will be on show at TEFAF Spring New York well. Next to drawings we will present selected paintings.
