In addition to classic modernism, the art of 1945 is another focus of our gallery activity. Art after 1945 covers a period of the visual arts from the end of the Second World War up to the 1990s. The development of Austrian art after 1945 has left a lasting impression on only a few artists. Max Weiler and Kurt Kocherscheidt are without a doubt one of the most important Austrian artists of the time. The art after 1945, especially the Viennese Aktionismus, was strongly influenced by the early Viennese Modernism (Vienna around 1900). The pioneering achievements of the artists of the Fin de Siècle in Vienna (Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka and Gerstl) were due in particular to the intensive study of the human body and the various dimensions of the physical and psychological experience which they encountered with fearless curiosity. Especially in Vienna one felt the ardent interest in looking under the surface, which is reflected in different disciplines. This legacy and the related curiosity are also to be found in the works between 1945 and the 1990s, which presents our gallery and art work. With our many years of experience and our international network of experts, we are one of the first addresses for the purchase and sale of works of art of classical modernism, art after 1945 and selected contemporary artists in Vienna. We would be pleased to advise you personally in the construction of your collection or to help you successfully place it on the international art market. You are in possession of works from the time after 1945 and would like to sell them? We are happy to receive your request and answer your questions.
